Success Story of Ian

Ian Bayson

Ian was a 4-year participant in the STEM summer exploration camp. Ian was a Regional Merritt scholarship recipient of Texas A&M. Ian says “through the summer enrichment classes higher math and science became easy.” He says the exposure made him more comfortable with higher math and science. Ian scored a 1480 on the SAT, and also a 1st and 3rd place winner for Skills USA for land surveying. Mr. Byson was a Texas Regional winner for the National Robotics Champion. Mr. Ian Byson also had 48 dual credit hours along with AP courses, and says everyone should be involved into a STEM summer camp for at least 4 years, because what he has learned made engineering easy. He says the exposure to Physics his freshman year in high school catapulted him in Applied Engineering at Texas A&M University. He will earn his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Texas A&M in Applied Engineering. He also had an opportunity to gain a internship with Duluth Consulting summer 2022.
